Neighborhood Watch

For more than thirty years, the Neighborhood Watch program has been one of the most effective ways for citizens to join law enforcement in the protection of their neighborhoods.  Neighborhood Watch groups provide community members a greater sense of security, responsibility and personal control.  Neighborhood Watch groups build community pride and unity, and just helps neighbors get back to knowing who lives in their community.

Neighborhood Watch provides law enforcement agencies with volunteer support year-round.  The citizens become the extra “eyes and ears” of law enforcement personnel and therefore reduces law enforcement’s burden.  Neighborhood Watch encourages citizens to call their law enforcement agency whenever they see or hear anything or anyone suspicious.   Citizens find themselves feeling more comfortable to call the non- emergency number whenever something “just doesn’t feel right”.
